Established in 2022, Niharika Foundation helps underprivileged children with education and promotes the creation of livelihoods through economic empowerment.
Though we are early birds in this journey of charity, we are striving our best to create an impact in the lives of many families and students.
Our aim is to provide funds to support the education of girls, healthcare, and most importantly, to create livelihood projects.
We are here to complement and supplement government efforts to achieve an equitable and empowered society.
Our Story
Niharika Foundation was a thought that germinated in me when I was standing at the crossroads of my life at the age of 16. It took more than 15 years for the idea to take shape, and the Universe conspired to form this Foundation in 2022, after rendering service activities during the COVID pandemic.
In fact, the COVID pandemic helped us to give birth to Niharika Foundation. Until then, we were providing services through our individual capacity. Niharika, the founder of this organization, believes in compassion, empathy, and an equitable society. Humanity is our philosophy. Service is ingrained in every nerve of its core.
Her dream to give back to society was realized when the deadly virus COVID struck the globe. Many families were devastated, and many lost their incomes and loved ones. This situation shook her to the core.
As Vivekananda has rightly pointed out, "They alone live, who live for others, the rest are more dead than alive." This philosophy is ingrained in me, and I want to reflect it through my actions.

COVID pushed us to swim in rough waters, and Niharika Foundation was born. Over the last two years, Niharika Foundation has evolved from an individual effort to an organization. We want to do real work on the ground and work towards an inclusive society. We collaborate with like-minded organizations and individuals to achieve our objectives.

Niharika-Foundation - Empowering Change
DS Kannan, Co-Founder
DS Kannan is a renowned Telugu film director and screenplay writer, born on April 14. He has made significant contributions to the Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi film industries. With a degree in drama, Kannan began his career by coaching new entrants at the university level before moving on to work on notable films like "Satyam-Shivam" starring Kamal Haasan. He gained substantial experience as an assistant director under SS Rajamouli for blockbuster films such as "Chhatrapathi," "Vikramarkudu," and "Yamadonga."
Mr. Kannan's dedication extends beyond the film industry.
He actively contributes to the Niharika Foundation, which focuses on community development, children's education, and women's empowerment. His involvement has been instrumental in the foundation's initiatives, leveraging his influence and resources to support its mission of creating a positive impact on society.
